remanufactured alternator - NSX, 1991-05

Remanufactured original Denso alternator. Rebuild includes:

• Tear down, cleaning, and bead blasting the case and end plate.
• Replacement of the rectifier, regulator, bearings, and brush holder.
• Cleaning and testing of the rotor and stator.
• Cleaning and machining of the slip rings.

This product is sold in two ways. 

1. Rebuild your supplied alternator: Send your alternator to us, and it will be rebuilt and returned. Allow 2 weeks for processing.
2. Core exchange (select the year range, then you will be presented with the option): You will receive a rebuild unit in advance of sending in your alternator for rebuild reducing the downtime of your vehicle. The core deposit is $1,200. You will receive a refund of $1,100 if your factory core is returned within 30 days of receiving the rebuilt unit (the difference covers the cost of credit card processing and purchasing cores) and the core is in rebuildable condition. Note: due to high demand and limited core availability, there may still be a lead time to ship the rebuilt alternator. You will be advised of an estimated ship date once you place the order.

Important: verify the operation of your alternator before replacing. Problems with starting are often caused by a weak battery (check alternator output with a voltmeter) and noises from the alternator side of the engine can be caused by issues like the A/C tensioner or timing belt tensioner bearings (remove alternator belt to verify if the alternator is the source of the noise).
