NSX Electronics Power Steering (EPS) Unit Repair - NSX, 1991-05

The original EPS control unit came with older internal parts, and defective components that can cause the same corrosive damage as the CCU and amps.  When rebuilt, these components are replaced along with known defective parts that tend to fail.  

Note: Core exchanges are not available.  

Symptoms:

• Power steering not operating
• Code 22

Note: You may experience 1 or more symptoms at a time.  Before placing your order and sending your unit in, you will need to pull the codes first.  If you verify that the only code you have is 22, then this repair will likely resolve your problem.  If you find that you have more codes, or different codes, then this repair may not resolve your issue.

Checking codes:

When checking codes, the EPS light will flash the code when the service check connector is jumped.  Codes are flashed by long and short blinks.  2 long blinks would indicate code 20.  2 long blinks followed immediately by 2 short blinks would indicate code 22.  There is a long pause between codes, and if you have multiple codes, you may see it flash each code one at a time.  It will repeat the codes as well, so if you get the same codes repeating, then you have them all.

You can find the service check connector at the top of the subwoofer, and it is a 2 position blue connector.
