Honda Lower Timing Belt Cover & Grommet Kit for Updated Water Pump - NSX, 1991-05

The original timing belt cover for the NSX did not have a weep hole for the water pump.  This made checking the water pump for premature signs of failure from leaking hard to do, since you would need to remove the timing cover for inspection.  The new water pump design has the correct weep tube design, but is not compatible with the 1991-96 lower timing cover.  You will need this updated timing cover to properly accomidate the new water pump design.  

Most NSX's that have been kept up to date on their water pump and timing belt services have already received and installed this new design.  For those that haven't, you will want to replace the lower timing cover when installing a modern water pump.  Please review the photos in the gallery to determine which generation of timing cover you have.  You will see the weep hole and modern water pump shown in the photo, circled in green.  Check for this, and if you don't have it then you need to order the cover for your upcoming 90k service involving the timing belt and water pump.  The grommet is also included in the kit.
