Stroker Kit Includes:
- ScienceofSpeed 4340 billet crankshaft (84mm stroke)
- ScienceofSpeed 4340 billet connecting rods (available with ARP 2000 (210,000 PSI) or ARP 625+ (280,000 PSI)
- ScienceofSpeed 2168 forged piston set (choice of piston bore diameter & compression ratio)
- Connecting rod bearings (kit includes 12 standard, and 6 .025mm thicker and thinner for optimizing oil clearance).
Main bearings are not included, and use factory size. Click here for options. The factory service manual should be consulted for proper bearing sizing.
This assembly may be used in a factory 3.0L block or 3.2L block. 3.0L factory sleeves should be bored and honed to the maximum size of 90.5mm. Larger bores require resleeving. 3.2L blocks require resleeving.
Note: total displacement will vary depending on cylinder bore. For example, 90.5mm cylinder bore will result in 3.24L and 93.5mm 3.46L.
Options
connecting rod fasteners:
- standard duty: ARP 2000 (210,000 PSI) - recommended for up to 600 BHP.
- heavy duty: ARP 625+ (280,000 PSI) - recommended for applications in excess of 600 BHP. Connecting rods are designed for use up to 150 BHP (900 BHP).
rotating balancing:
- The rotating assembly (crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons) should be balanced. This is available as an optional service.
piston configuration:
- The pistons are available in 90-95mm diameter and a static compression ratio of 8.5 - 12.5:1. A popular configuration is 93mm w/ 10.5:1 compression for naturally aspirated applications and 93mm w/ 9.5:1 compression for forced induction applications - however, these configurations vary based on power goal and fuel being used. Please discuss the options with your engine builder.
