
In 2025, ScienceofSpeed is excited to announce a partnership with Brembo to produce an ultimate brake system based on the Brembo PISTA caliper. Unlike other kits available from Brembo that require widebody wheels, the ScienceofSpeed Brembo PISTA brake system introduces a new compact caliper exclusive to these kits from ScienceofSpeed that allows the venerable Brembo PISTA brake caliper to fit under most 17" aftermarket wheels with adequate brake clearance.
Brembo PISTA is a high-performance brake kit designed for track and motorsports use, which can also be used on a primarily street-driven NSX. The PISTA caliper features forged lightweight, strength-optimized calipers with internal fluid passages and quick-release pad mechanisms for efficient pad changes. The calipers are not only optimized for being lightweight, but also high thermal stress. The calipers feature a hard-anodized motorsports finish. The included two-piece rotors are semi-floating which allows heat expansion while reducing noise. Exclusive to the kit from ScienceofSpeed are plated rotors that minimize corrosion on non-pad contact surfaces, Brembo exclusive curved slots, and the Brembo logo engraved on the rear rotors.
ScienceofSpeed worked with Brembo to modify existing options for the NSX with a compact caliper to increase compatibility with popular wheels. In addition, ScienceofSpeed improved on the previous Brembo GT kits by using proportioned caliper pistons that differ in the front vs rear calipers. The four piston calipers are biased internally to maintain optimum brake balance front to rear. This combination is exclusive to ScienceofSpeed - which has committed to volume production to offer this system for the NSX. Due to this commitment, we've been able to keep this upgraded PISTA based system comparably priced to the outgoing GT kit!

Front only. If choosing a front only kit, a higher friction compound should be used on the rear axle to balance brake force.

Parking brake:
The factory calipers and integrated parking brake is removed. An optional parking brake is available.
Choose a brake pad (this selection is available once you choose front or front & rear):
TS20 (high performance street / light track use): the standard pad set included at no extra charge is designed for performance street use and light track use. Minimal dusting and squealing. This pad may generate brake shudder if it is used aggressively on the track. This is the pad we recommend for most customers.
RE10 (endurance track / light street use): optional pad set intended for increased temperature capacity for endurance motorsports use with light street use. This pad generates some increased dusting and squealing especially when cold and is relatively rotor-friendly for a motorsports pad. High grip tires (200 treadwear or better) are recommended with this pad. Choose this pad if your NSX is used primarily on the track with some street use.
RS45 (aggressive sprint track use): optional pad set intended for maximum brake torque for sprint racing. This pad generates significant dust and noise and is more aggressive on rotors. Slick tires are recommended with this pad. Choose this pad if your NSX is a dedicated time attack / sprint race car.
