S2000, 2000-09

Calling all NSX’s, S2000’s, Type R’s, Type S’s, and any other performance Honda’s/Acura’s.  Join ScienceofSpeed on the morning of Jan. 10th as we host our annual New Year’s meet at our facility in Chandler.  We will be meeting at 9:00am-Noon, and opening our shop for tours, information, and sales.  We will have a live DJ on hand, and staff here to answer questions you may have.  Come see other performance cars, and this meet is a great opportunity to check out the parts you’ve been desiring on other cars, and asking other owners for their recommendations and experiences before you buy.

• What power and torque does this produce?
The engine is rated for 306 BHP and 295 lbf-ft of torque with 91 octane (at the engine). In ScienceofSpeed’s testing, the engine produces over 300 horsepower and lbf-ft of torque at the wheels with HPD’s fixed-calibration ECU with 91 octane fuel and factory S2000 exhaust muffler and catalytic converter. Much higher output is possible with higher test fuels, including FlexFuel, and turbocharger and engine upgrades. Higher output requires a configurable ECU (a MoTeC M142 based solution is available).

• What is included in the conversion kit?
There are nine major components: engine, engine mounting kit, intake manifold adapter and intake kit, exhaust downpipe kit, transmission adapter & flywheel kit, engine coolant kit, intercooler, fuel system, and engine control package.

• What clutch kit is required?

ScienceofSpeed offers the best AEM Infinity 506 kit for the S2000 with a plug and play bracket, a wire harness that allows easy and clean installation, and dash control for the 06-09 S2000. Did you also know that we also offer a kit that allows traction control on all S2000 years?

Using the Infinity’s built-in traction control system (which is far superior to the factory 06-09 system) and ScienceofSpeed’s wheel speed converter – you can program smooth traction control – which can be switched on or off with a switch (and the factory switch on the 06-09). You can even use a multi position switch to trim how much traction control you wish to be active.

The ScienceofSpeed Infinity system for 2006-09 even allows control of the factory VSA lamp and traction warning lamp for the ultimate in a clean tidy factory-like installation.
